About Us:

The Kiwanis Club of Jamaica is a community service organization committed to helping respond to community concerns and needs through projects and programs selected by the Club Members.  We are part of Kiwanis International, a worldwide service organization for individuals desiring personal involvement in the leadership and improvement of their communities.  We share in the commitment of Kiwanis International to assist in solving problems of international concern through participation in Kiwanis major emphasis programs.  We believe that as a group we can achieve what individuals cannot do alone.  Thus our motto and the cornerstone of Kiwanis – “Serving the Children of the World”

Our Club was Chartered in June 2006 and has grown to become an active community service organization in Jamaica, Queens.  Our membership is growing and is truly reflective of the diversity of the community within which we operate.  The Jamaica Club is one of 6 clubs in the Queens East Division, a part of the New York Kiwanis District which is comprised of over 300 clubs in New York State.  Worldwide membership in Kiwanis International is greater than 300,000 in more than 9,000 clubs in over 80 countries.

We participate in a number of service projects annually including giving thanksgiving baskets to needy families in the community, a toy drive for Christmas and sending a child to Kamp Kiwanis.  This year we will be participating in the Governor and First Lady’s projects, local as well as international projects.
