Vision: To see children grow mentally, socially, and physically. To provide a place where they prosper and find hope for a future. The Training Center – a place where dreams begin.
Mission: Our mission is to partner with parents, the local community and school systems to provide an after school program for children enrolled in grades K-5 through 4th, living on the west side of Marion, in the area surrounding the former Lincoln Elementary School. The Training Center is committed to offering educational assistance that will allow children the opportunity to excel in learning, academic achievement, and to grow in character.
Core Belief:
1. Every child deserves to dream big and see their dreams become a reality
2. Every child needs to feel loved and appreciated
3. Every child should receive a good education and given the tools to help them become successful
4. Investing in a child’s future will reap great dividends
5. A strand of three: the family, the community, and the school system can do it better together
Facts:
1. ISTEP scores for Marion Community Schools is the lowest in Grant County, Indiana
2. 75% of children enrolled in Marion Schools received free or reduced lunches last year
3. Some of the most vulnerable hours for a child are the hours immidiately following the end of the school day until 6:00pm. Many children are considered latchkey as no adult supervision is available during that time period and families lack resources for other safe alternatives

1. Provides a nourishing snack each day
2. Provide mentors to each child’s family to assist as possible to help the family succeed
