ABOUT THE BREWERY

Thunder Island Brewing Company is an adventure-based small batch brewery that is handcrafting creative and innovative beers in the Pacific Northwest. Based out of the city of Cascades Locks, forty-three miles east of Portland, Thunder Island Brewing makes original beers inspired by a love for outdoor adventures, with a nod to local history and with a respect for all that the scenic Columbia River Gorge has to offer.

Thunder Island Brewing brews on a two-barrel system, which allows the brewery to be fully dedicated to producing quality handcrafted beers. The current offerings on tap include a Pale Ale, a Scotch Porter, an IPA, and a Kölsch.  The Brewery plans to offer additional seasonal and specialty beers in the future.

ABOUT THE BREWERS

Thunder Island Brewing Company was co-founded by Dan Hynes and Dave Lipps. Dan and Dave's shared love for beer, community and the outdoors brought their dream of opening up a brewery to Cascade Locks. Today, the dream is well and alive and if you can't find Dan and Dave at the brewery, they're probably out adventuring somewhere in the Gorge.
