Land Use- To encourage the orderly and environmentally sound development of the land with special consideration to maintaining the small town, rural character it now has
 
Population- Pursuing annexations to increase the population base
 
Housing- Maintain the goal of encouraging economic/affordable housing for all of it's residents

 Economic- Encourage the creation of new commercial and industrial jobs within the town limits

Natural Resources- Supports the conservation of natural resources and the protection of the environment

Cultural Resources-support the creation and continuation of cultural events and resources that involve all citizens of the area

Community Facilities- Encourage the expansion of community facilities to serve all residents in areas in which they live through safe and efficient roads, environmentally stable utilities and town facilities
