To be true worshipers of God as a community of believers through Jesus Christ.

Valley Center Community Church exists:

- To Glorify God - This is the duty of the church and the precious privilege of every member of it. Principally, this involves man's expression to God in his action, attitudes, words, and possessions. As a church, we fulfill this purpose chiefly through weekly services, events, and by challenging our congregation to pursue Christ in their daily activities. For by doing so God is glorified.

- To Build Itself - Our second important purpose is to encourage spiritual growth and depth in the lives of its members. The Bible never talks about Christians or the church in static terms; instead, they are to be continually building, growing, and learning. This growth is necessary for proper ministry to one another and to the rest of our world. We fulfill this purpose through Biblical preaching and Christian education.

- To Make New Disciples - Christ commanded us to make new disciples of people from around the world. We believe it is our responsibility to live winsome lives in our community that we might lead others to Jesus, and our privilege to send and support those who serve in distant areas to the same end. To fulfill this purpose, VCCC emphasizes personal evangelism at home and within their circle of influence (i.e., workplace, neighborhood and community). VCCC also supports a broad range of missionary activities both locally and around the globe.
