About Us
Venice High School is the leader in block scheduling and Smaller Learning Academies for Sarasota County Schools. Block scheduling provides a firm foundation of basic skills courses, allows the offering of challenging college preparatory courses, and permits the students to explore a wide range of elective programs. Implementing Smaller Learning Communities is a powerful strategy for more effectively meeting the needs of all students, dramatically improving our high schools' productivity as reflected by graduation rates and rates of college enrollment, and maintaining the district's reputation for academic, athletic and cultural excellence.
