Situated in the rolling hills of south-central Ohio, Leesburg is located just north of the Highland County seat of Hillsboro.  Leesburg's quaint village boasts several shopping opportunities, as well as all the necessities.  Surrounded by rich farm land, residents of the Leesburg area benefit from agriculture and livestock production.

In 1802 the Village of Leesburg was founded and incorporated by Nathaniel Pope, John Walters, and John Howard. The first Quakers , or friends as we know them now, held meetings late in 1802. Leesburg was famous early on for its flouring and woolen mills amongst other things.
