The small village charm of Sussex is reflected in the historic buildings, as well as in the parks, hiking, biking, and skiing trails. Sussex Village Park, with its sports fields, open spaces, and summer activities, is a charming place to embark on the Bugline Trail. Trains once hauled Lannon Stone from the deep limestone pits which still operate today. A look down into the quarries from the trail is an impressive sight. Dense woods near the trail often hide the fact that much of the trail is through suburbs.
