About Us:

Volusia Pines Elementary School opened its doors to students on August 19, 1996. Volusia Pines Elementary had the unique opportunity to bring together the very best of traditional small school atmosphere with the advantages of a state of the art facility. Volusia Pines not only blends the communities of Lake Helen and Cassadaga, but serves the city of Deltona as well. Volusia Pines is a focal point for the community and a singular source of pride. It serves approximately 700 students in kindergarten through fifth grade and hosts self contained exceptional student education classrooms. We have five kindergarten classes, seven first grade classes, six second grade classes, six  third grade classes, five  fourth grade classes, five  fifth grade classes, ESOL and seven Resource classes. The school offers special areas in music, art, a science/math lab and physical education and enjoys a beautiful fully equipped media center. We continue to be an A rated school.

The Volusia Pines staff is a loyal and dedicated group of professionals. Everyone is committed to helping students build positive character and improve academic achievement. There are 60 instructional staff members including Resource /Speech and support staff; of these, 34% have advanced degrees. Staff members are very supportive of each other and the administration.
