Wasilla High School (WHS) is located wtihin the Matanuska-Susitna Borough which serves suburban and rural communities with a combined population of 59,000. The city of Wasilla is a first class city of 6,700 and is located 45 miles from Anchorage (population 260,000), the commercial and cultural center of Alaska.

School

Wasilla High School is one of eight four-year high schools of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District and is accredited by Northwest Association of Secondary and Higher Schools.  WHS's average enrollment is 1,200 students.

Curriculum

A comprehensive curriculum including:  advanced placement, honors, college prepatory, business, trade/technical, fine arts, and enrichment programs. Twenty-one credits including four years of language arts, three years of science, three years of social studies, two years of math, one year of phyiscal education, and one-half year of health is required for graduation.
