West Pines Community Church began in the heart of a small group of people that had a desire to reach the Southwest Corner of Broward County. With the support of five local churches, and the sacrificial gifts of the committed core group, WPCC launched it’s first service on September 9, 2001.

Just two days after our first service, our nation experienced unbelievable loss and devastation at the hands of cowardly terrorists, but as Joseph said to his brothers in Genesis 50; 'You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.', WPCC saw God use September 11, 2001 as a platform where the good news of His Grace, Love, and Forgiveness might be shared with those that were hopeless and hurting.

What started as a handful of people, quickly grew to over one hundred regular attenders, with an overwhelming number of children and young families making up the congregation. As the number of people attending WPCC continues to grow, it is more and more evident that God has great plans for this church that He began. His hand has been evident since the beginning, and continues to guide and bless as we seek to fulfill our vision of reaching Southwest Broward with the Hope of Christ.

Moving into the Charter High School at the Academic Village, we are now into Phase II of our church's life. This move has provided new opportunities for growth as we serve the community in which we live and worship. Our next phase, Phase III, will be the building of a Worship Center on our property at the corner of SW 184th Avenue and Sheridan Street.
