Whitehall Elementary School

399 N. Whitehall Road
610-630-6000

To educate all students of a diverse community to become responsible, thinking, creative, literate citizens who strive for personal excellence, function, successfully, and enrich society

Opened in September 1992, the Whitehall Elementary School, located in West Norriton Township, is the newest of the district’s elementary schools. The kindergarten through 5th grade student population of over 500 is drawn from the entire district community. Whitehall also houses the Autism/Pervasive Developmental Disorder Program.

Whitehall is fortunate to have many unique assets to assist our children with their school experience. We have seven computers in every classroom and the library is fully equipped with sufficient computers for every student and now has wireless technology.

Whitehall received funding from a Reading First grant that provides two full-time reading coaches to do staff development with our teachers on strategies to assist our students. Title I monies have provided a full-time reading teacher and a full-time mathematics teacher to support the districts program, which provides two full-time reading specialists and one full-time math specialist.

Whitehall's behavior plan is focused around teaching children on how to make good choices. The plan is consistent in every classroom, so that the children know what is expected of them. Throughout the course of the year, we have various celebrations to acknowledge the good choices that our children have made. Whitehall's guidance counselor and social worker extend their services to the community by having programs at the school for the parents and visiting children's homes to inform the parents about the various programs offered to the children at school.
