About

The Yazoo County Chamber of Commerce is a fully-integrated economic development organization, dedicated to both job creation and job preservation.  As a member based business organization, we work to grow our markets for our members.   We focus on the following areas:

-Recruitment and Expansion of Existing Business

-Development and support of the entrepreneurial, small, and minority businesses

-Recruitment of New Businesses

-Growth and support in communication and development for the entire community.

-Creating a sustainable county that supports innovation and creativity in businesses both new and existing

-Fostering a county full of community involvement and family friendly atmosphere

-Creating a community to live, work and play.

We also support a comprehensive array of community development issues as they relate to our mission, including governmental affairs, public education, public health, and leadership and community development.   We have been a driving force for building successful businesses and a strong community since 1914.

The Yazoo County Chamber of Commerce is governed by a volunteer board of directors and operated by a professional staff.   Our mission is to work together to provide all necessary tools new and existing businesses need to flourish in Yazoo County.  

The Chamber is the voice of the business and community in governmental affairs on a local, state, and national level.  We provide products and services to member businesses that help them grow and prosper.   Our constant communication with our members and a volunteer environment that fosters involvement and service allows our Chamber to create programs which focus on the immediate and pertinent needs of our business in Yazoo County. 

Mission

The Yazoo County Chamber of Commerce is a 501c 6 non-profit, voluntary organization of business and professional members working to encourage business growth and civic improvements that will benefit everyone in Yazoo County.  This is done by promoting retail, commercial, industrial, and civic development, by encouraging economic and social growth, and by working with government at all levels to maintain a sound and progressive economy.
