YouthBuild Lakeland is a full time, six-month, non-profit program in which young adults work towards earning a GED while learning hands-on construction skills by building affordable housing for low-income families. In addition, a strong emphasis is also placed on personal development, leadership development, job placement and community service. Participants of YouthBuild will divide their time between the construction site and the classroom. All classroom instruction will be provided on site at the YouthBuild Lakeland Center.

18-24 years of age US Citizen and Polk County Resident Available weekdays 8:00am-3:30pm In pursuit of a GED or High School diploma Motivated and committed to educational advancement Interested in learning construction Serious about personal development
