Description:
The Auburn Public Library is located at 369 Southbridge Street (Route 12) at the intersection of Brotherton Way. Brotherton Way runs from Southbridge Street to Auburn Street between the Library and the Auburn Mall. Brotherton Way was part of Swanson Road until it was renamed in honor of Worcester firefighter Paul Brotherton, who lived in Auburn, and died in the Worcester Cold Storage Warehouse fire. Older maps will still have this street listed as Swanson Road. The rest of Swanson Road, from Bryn Mawr Avenue to Southbridge Street, still bears that name.
