Description:
The Henry Whitfield House has stood in Guilford for nearly four centuries. Over the years, the house has changed in both form and function - from minister's home and community stronghold to tenant farm to state museum and National Historic Landmark. Today, the Old Stone House is the oldest house in Connecticut and the oldest stone house in New England. In addition to the house, the museum's Visitor Center offers changing exhibits, a gift shop, research library, and travel information.
