Armand H. Rothschild, M.D., is a board-certified cardiologist who specializes in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He also has qualifications in echocardiography and nuclear medicine. Dr. Rothschild received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh. He then completed a combined fellowship in cardiology from Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
Dr. Rothschild has been practicing interventional cardiology since 1983 and is one of the first cardiologists to perform angioplasty and stenting in Louisville. He has been using the radial approach for routine diagnostic cardiac catheterizations as well as angioplasty since 2000, and his special interest is making this approach more wide-spread.
Away from the office, Dr. Rothschild enjoys biking and golfing. His wife, Marylee Rothschild, M.D., is currently chief of staff at the VA Medical Center in Louisville.
