Dr. Arshish Dua completed his medical training at Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM)where he graduated with highest recognition for academic achievement, highest honors. He subsequently completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee where he received numerous awards for patient care and advocacy. He then had the privilege of completing Gastroenterology fellowship at a large academic institution, Loyola University Medical Center in the Chicago area. Finally, he completed an additional year of sub-specialty training in advanced therapeutic endoscopy after being accepted into a prestigious one year fellowship at NYP-Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) in Manhattan.
As a physician Dr. Dua sees patient care and advocacy as the most important entities to his practice. Although his work through conferences, research, and endoscopy exemplify his clinical acumen, he strongly believes that medical decision making lies first and foremost with the patient and their families. He actively seeks to involve patients in that process so they are in full control of their health. He hopes to bring a complete service of gastrointestinal procedures including advanced endoscopy to the Brooklyn community in a collaborative provider fashion.
On a personal level Dr. Dua is an accomplished classically trained violinist and pianist and still plays to this day. He additionally enjoys international travel, competitive sports, and spending time with family. Above all else Dr. Dua wants his patients and their families to know that his job is not just to provide excellent medical care. It is to provide excellent care, communication and emotional support to help you overcome your problem to the best of your ability.
