Dr. Ashfaq is a cardiovascular surgeon in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Heart Institute. He joined the hospital staff in 2020. After receiving his medical degree at Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan, Dr. Ashfaq completed a residency in general surgery at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, where he served as chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, followed by a congenital cardiac fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
