Dr. Ross earned his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He completed his residency in general surgery at Vanderbilt University and then went on to complete a vascular surgery fellowship at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Immediately prior to joining Piedmont Heart Institute, Dr. Ross served as an Associate Professor of Surgery and Chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapeutics School of Medicine at the University of Louisville. He was also on staff at Norton Hospital and Jewish Hospital, both located in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Ross is board-certified in vascular surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Heart Association (Stroke Council) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Ross is also a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery and the Society for Vascular Surgery. Dr. Ross has a long standing interest and experience with minimally-invasive and endovascular approaches to vascular problems as well as standard operative approaches, seeking the best solution for long term success for each individual patient. He has participated in multiple clinical trials and registries, and he has been a speaker at numerous symposia and meetings.
