During her 20+ years of treating patients, Dr. Taylor has learned that her thirst for knowledge, high quality diagnostic skills and vast experience allows her patients to develop a high level of trust and confidence when seeking her care. She enjoys her role as a primary care physician which provides her the opportunity to help patients on a daily basis.
As a family medicine physician, Dr. Taylor treats patients ages 5+ which can involve caring for the entire family, and in some cases, multiple generations. She views the physician-patient relationship as a partnership and feels privileged to be welcomed into her patients’ lives. In turn, she focuses her practice on building long-lasting relationships, practicing high quality medicine and maintaining the integrity her patients deserve.
Collaborating with her patients to help them achieve overall wellness is Dr. Taylor’s ultimate goal. She places an emphasis on preventative medicine and optimizing lifestyle habits to help detect and manage risk factors in order to minimize medications and procedural interventions. As she states, “I take time to ask questions, listen and explain. Thinking and careful listening are essential for good medicine.”
Dr. Taylor attended University of California, Irvine for her undergraduate years and graduated medical school at Temple University. She completed her residency at Kaiser Permanente. She chose to come to Hoag which allows her to spend the necessary time with patients and provide access to the best specialty care and cutting-edge technology.
Outside of work, Dr. Taylor focuses on spending time with family, achieving personal well-being and contributing to her community. She takes part in anything ocean-related including standup paddleboarding, scuba diving, going to the beach as well as immersing herself in nature with hiking and traveling.
