My choice to become a Surgeon developed as a product of numerous life experiences. My prior career as a Surgical Technologist gave me a love for surgery and patient care. I was also blessed with multiple opportunities to perform medical mission work throughout areas in the United States, Mexico and Honduras. It was the experiences that I had during this mission work that inspired me to pursue a career in medicine to continue to give back to my community and abroad. My approach to patient care is fostering a team atmosphere. I practice as one member of the patient's medical family and enjoy working with the patient and primary care teams to provide education and comprehensive, quality medical care. As a General Surgeon, I specialize in gastrointestinal surgery, colonic disease, biliary disease, disease of the breast, open and minimally invasive hernia repair, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, endoscopy, and dialysis access procedures. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time hiking and traveling with my husband and my 2 year old daughter.
