Jose Andres Restrepo, M.D., is a non-surgical spine care physician and the director of outpatient rehabilitation at Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute. Dr. Restrepo specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, electrodiagnosis, regenerative medicine, and musculoskeletal conditions, including arthritis. He is fluent in English and Spanish. Dr. Restrepo joined Miami Neuroscience Institute from Conviva Physician Group, where he served as the regional medical director of rehabilitation medicine. He was the principal investigator in a research study that demonstrated that exercise prevented falls and increased functional independence in older adults. He also served as the associate program director of the physical medicine and rehabilitation residency program at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Restrepo enjoys interacting with his patients and believes in treating them as family members. He is passionate about helping people heal from medical conditions that impair their daily living so they can be independent again. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Restrepo enjoys spending time with his family, going to the gym, playing tennis, swimming and reading.
