When I was young, I had significant difficulties with allergies and asthma. I also had my fair share of orthopedic injuries. I was fortunate enough to have a caring team of physicians (a pediatrician, an allergist, and an orthopedic surgeon) caring for me. This early experience and my mother being a nurse pointed me in the direction of medicine. My older sister had a similar calling, so I chose to follow the path they forged.
As a physician, I work with my patients and at times, their families and loved ones. Often, my patient's family members need care, comfort, advice, and support as well. Very seldom is someone treated in isolation. In family medicine, taking care of all family members gives invaluable insight into the entire family. In primary care, we have an advantage over those seeing isolated individuals. We know the back story which illuminates things that might otherwise be unexplored.
To me, a successful outcome is:
Seeing healthy, happy, well-adjusted children
Treating someone for anxiety, depression, or grief and helping them arrive at a place of peace
Watching children engaged with and enjoying their grandparents
Helping my patients to live with the highest quality of life possible
My wife and I are involved in the Concord community through Concord Crew and the local soccer scene in Bow, NH. We homeschooled all 6 of our children. We love camping, hiking, skiing, and bike riding. I enjoy this community and I am excited and grateful to join the team here to continue serving patients in Concord.
