Keerthana Anand, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who sees pediatric (one year and older), adult and geriatric patients. Dr. Anand earned her medical degree from Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College in India. She completed her family medicine fellowship and residency, along with a faculty development and leadership fellowship at the University of Alabama Birmingham’s Selma Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Anand provides annual wellness exams, vaccinations and school and sports physicals for adults and children. She manages acute illnesses such as colds, flu, urinary tract infections, asthma, and chronic conditions, including high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, depression, anxiety, weight management and more. Dr. Anand enjoys working in primary care, where she can make a real difference in the health and lives of her patients. The cornerstone of her medical practice is understanding the barriers her patients face when trying to achieve their health care goals. Working with her patients, she creates a treatment plan to reduce their risk factors so they can live a healthy lifestyle.
