Growing up in the small town of Warrenton, NC, there were not many close resources for medical care. I would always love to go with my mother on medical calls as she was an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Seeing how one person could make such a difference in someone’s life caught my attention, and since then, caring for others has been a huge part of my life. I love to be able to listen, understand, treat, educate, and just be there for someone in their time of need. My philosophy of care is that not every person is the same, so not everyone can be treated the same. The saying “one size fits all” is not my approach; individualized care tailored to each individual patient is my approach. My areas of special interest include health throughout the lifespan, primary/preventive care, procedures, and nutrition and exercise for a healthy lifestyle. Outside of work, I love to play softball, workout, travel, and hang out with my family and friends.
