Matt Sotheran, PA-C, MPAS, is a board-certified physician assistant who works with Dr. Richard Helfrey, a general orthopedic surgeon and foot and ankle specialist at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital – Lake St. Louis and clinic sites in Wentzville and on Kisker Road in St. Charles. He assists in surgery and sees patients in clinic. Matt received a bachelor of science degree in education at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, then earned basic EMT certification and worked in the Emergency Department at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital – St. Charles. He attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, for physician assistant training and is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He is a member of the Missouri Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. “My mission is to help my patients return to function as quickly as possible while gaining a thorough understanding of their unique needs and goals.”
