Melissa Franco, D.O., MPH, is a family medicine physician with Baptist Health Primary Care, a part of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 180 physicians in multiple specialties closely aligned with Baptist Health South Florida. She specializes in primary care, treating a wide range of health problems, including simple to complex health concerns such as asthma, diabetes and heart disease. She performs health-risk assessments and educates patients about healthy lifestyle choices. Dr. Franco received her doctor of osteopathic medicine and master’s of public health degrees from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She completed a family practice internship and residency at Suncoast Hospital/Largo Medicine Center, Largo, Fla., where she was also co-chief resident. She is Board-certified in family medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
