Pooja Motwani, M.D., is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist. She treats a variety of cancers with a focus on leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, myelodysplasia and myeloproliferative neoplasms and breast, colorectal and lung cancers.
Dr. Motwani attended Grant Medical College in Mumbai, India, followed by an internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine (Bronx), New York. She completed her fellowship training in hematology/oncology at Baystate Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Prior to joining Hoag, Dr. Motwani served as an associate professor with tenure at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she also served as associate program director for the hematology/oncology fellowship program.
Dr. Motwani is an avid lecturer and has co-authored numerous publications in leading journals. She has led or participated in numerous oncology/lymphoma-focused clinical trials and presented her research nationally. Dr. Motwani has received several honors and awards and is an active member of several medical associations and societies including American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology, where she also served a 4-year term on their scientific committee for lymphoid neoplasia.
Dr Motwani lives in Seal Beach with her husband and three kids and enjoys reading and travelling.
