Dr. Sunaina Jhurani completed her residency at Emory University where she earned the F16 Gold Provider Recognition for the Top 10% in Patient Satisfaction of all Emory Primary Care Providers. As a resident, she received awards from the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians for her research and execution of Primary Care Team Report Cards which fostered teamwork to provide excellent patient care. In addition, she served on the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Healthy Family Alliance providing education to elementary school children on the dangers of tobacco through the Tar Wars Program. She earned her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. As a medical student, she volunteered at the Macon Volunteer Clinic where she provided preventive education and medical services to patients. Dr. Jhurani received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in Biology and Psychology. Dr. Jhurani has a special interest in preventative medicine and the management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and obesity. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She is fluent in Hindi as well. Dr. Jhurani welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
