Syed M. Rizvi, MD received his medical degree from King Edward Medical College in Pakistan and completed a medicine and general surgery internship at Mayo Hospital in Pakistan. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Michael Reese Hospital and nephrology fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine, Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He is board certified in internal medicine, nephrology and hypertension.
In addition to working in a hospital setting and private practice, Dr. Rizvi served as assistant professor of medicine at Washington University School of Medicine and conducted clinical research in transplant nephrology. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, associate member of the American Society of Nephrology and the Renal Physicians Association.
He is an associate professor of medicine at Indiana University South Bend and enjoys working with and teaching medical students and residents. Dr. Rizvi enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities and racquetball.
