North End Gallery is proud to present “Clay Extravaganza: The Natural World and Beyond” -- a group show highlighting the diverse talents of our clay artists. Featuring Diana Manchak, Sarah Houde, Parran Collery, Denise Breitburg, and Ray Bogle. Rooted in a shared exploration of the natural world, each of these artists moves in different and exciting directions. Diana employs humor and whimsy to bring a fresh take to her functional pottery. In addition to using nature’s textures, Sarah is inspired by organic shapes including the curves and spirals found in shells. Ray is exploring a newfound passion for deep space photography, creating raku and crystalline glazed clay sculptures inspired by the Cosmos. Denise dives into the balancing act of large-scale hand carved ceramic totems and a variety of functional pieces. Parran continues to play with a mix of glass and terra cotta in her 3-D mosaic wall art.
