11:00 am to 12:00 pm: Grow Up

Join the hydroponics experts at Produce'd as you tour their farm and learn how plants are grown without using dirt or soil, and explore the wonder of the germination and pollinating bee rooms! Then, put your knowledge to the test with a hands-on hydroponics project that you'll get to take home for addition learning, growing (pun intended), and discovery. This event has an earlier occurrence on Saturday, March 8.

Race through a whirlwind of science! In this amazing Race-inspired challenge, teams will race against the clock to navigate a series of hands-on scientific puzzles, experiments, and challenges. Each stop will test your creativity, teamwork, and scientific knowledge. Get ready for a high-energy adventure that blends competition with discovery!

Join the Geosciences Raising Opportunities for Women (GROW) student club for an exciting lab walkthrough featuring research by our own faculty and student scientists. Engage in experiments and activities in studying minerals, fossils, water, and maps. Learn about contributions to Earth and environmental science from women in history and earn prizes to take home.

"Father of the Cyborgs" tells the story of a neurologist in the late 1990s whose relentless effort to unlock speech for locked-in patients nearly incapacitated him when he decided to have his own brain implanted.
