Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area Presents “The Art of Bird Feeding”
(ROGERS, Ark.) – Hobbs State Park will host a special program on the “Art of Bird Feeding” at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, in the park’s visitor center. Butch Tetzlaff of the Blue Bird Shed will lead this engaging session to provide essential tips and insights for bird enthusiasts of all levels.
Attracting birds to our yard takes time and care. “The birds are our guests,” Tetzlaff reminds us, urging participants to first consider whether their yards are both bird-friendly and bird-safe before setting up feeders. During the program, Tetzlaff will guide attendees through the key aspects of successful bird feeding. “There are a lot of bird foods and feeders on the market, but not all of them are well-suited for birds,” Tetzlaff explains. Attendees will learn how to select high-quality bird food, attract a variety of bird species, and properly maintain feeding stations. Topics will include mounting methods, cleanliness, and predator deterrence.
Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your connection with nature and bring your feathered neighbors closer to home. For more information, contact the Hobbs State Park visitor center at 479-789-5000.
