This year, starting Black History Kingston, Michael Torres, a local photographer and Kingston resident, embarked on a poignant project: capturing the portraits of 100 elders in our community.  This Black History Kingston initiative, driven by a desire to honor and appreciate the wisdom and experiences of the older generation, embodies the spirit of "giving them their flowers" now while they are still with us. MyKingstonKids has partnered with Cornell Creative Arts to bring this special project to the community. Join us at 1pm, Saturday February 1st and help us celebrate this momentous occasion. There will be light refreshments with Music provided by Phat Inc.

Phat Inc. is a collective of talented young musicians, with many of our members currently studying at Bard College. Our lineup is diverse, featuring musicians such as Ivan Tamayo, Imani-Amie, Cedaniel Sumpter, Leo Belsky, Micah Kelleher, and Maxwell Barnes, who each bring their unique backgrounds and styles to create a dynamic blend of jazz, funk, soul, and rock.
