The community is invited to take part in the Annual Blue Light Ceremony hosted by The Exchange Club of Norman.

This meaningful event is held each year to recognize April as National Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month. It serves as a reminder of the vital role families and communities play in preventing child abuse and neglect. The ceremony also honors the children affected by abuse and shines a light on the ongoing efforts to protect them.

As part of the event, the Norman Exchange Club will present awards to 10 local non-profits dedicated to child abuse prevention. Their work remains critical, especially in light of the 830 confirmed child abuse cases in Cleveland County in 2024.

The event organizers emphasize the importance of raising public awareness and encourage community members to attend, show support, and help make a difference.
