Join Urbana's own S. Alessandro Martinez to celebrate the release of his new novella, Rootfingers, published by Winding Road Stories. Available for pre-order today, and set to be formally released on June 10th, the book revolves around what happens when an artist’s unearthly muse remains in his house after his passing. Unfolding over the course of a single terrifying night, the story follows seven year old Wren Espinoza as she attempts to save her family from being used by an ancient entity for its own artistic purposes. Martinez will be at Kat's Kauldron Vintage & Intrigues, 111 Scioto St., Urbana on June 21 from 1-4pm to read from Rootfingers and sign copies of the book, as well as his Bram Stoker Award-nominated novel Helminth and book of horror poetry Dreams of Decay.
