The Ketchikan Running Club (KRC), Ketchikan Area State Parks Education Recreation,(KASPER) ,Ketchikan Parks and Recreation and Alaska State Parks are once again co-sponsoring the return of the Calamity Triathlon which is back by popular demand. Participants can compete solo or as teams, either men's, women's or mixed teams.
The course celebrates Ketchikan's State Parks, with a 2 mile kayak leg from Totem Bight, around Devil Island and back to Refuge Cove. The approximately 5k run leg goes from Refuge Cove to D-Loop and back down to Totem Bight. The final leg is biking 8 miles from Totem Bight to the finish at Settler's Cove.
