Whether you’re a seasoned marathoner, a first-time racer, or just looking for a fun outdoor event in Wyoming, this marathon is the place to be! With race options including a 10K, half marathon, full marathon relay, and the traditional Wyoming full marathon, there’s something for everyone.

The Visit Casper Marathon is celebrating its 22nd year of bringing together runners from surrounding states and across the country. This race offers the perfect blend of Wyoming marathon views, Western hospitality, and top-tier event organization. And don’t worry—whether you’re aiming for a personal best or just soaking in the beautiful Wyoming landscapes, all races are professionally timed with RFD Chipped Race Bibs so you’ll know exactly how you ran with the herd.  

Schedule:

4:30 a.m. Information and Help Center inside the Wyoming Ford Center opens.

4:30 a.m. Shuttle bus runs to the start line from Best Western, our host hotel. The shuttle bus makes continuous loops that take 15 minutes round trip.  Last Shuttle bus leaves the Host hotel by 5:40 a.m.

5:45 a.m. Course Instruction and Announcements at Start line (NO EARLY STARTS)
5:50 a.m. Wheelchair Start (if applicable)
6:00 a.m. Marathon, Half Marathon & Marathon Relay Starts at the — Wyoming Ford Center
6:00 a.m.  10K Starts at the — Wyoming Ford Center

8:30 a.m.  10K Awards Ceremony – David Street Station

9:00 a.m.  Half Marathon Awards Ceremony – David Street Station

11:00 a.m.  Marathon, Marathon Relay Awards Ceremony- David Street Station

12:15 p.m. ALL Aid Stations Close
12:30 p.m. Finish Line Closes

Course Info:

The marathon begins at the Casper Events Center, providing runners with indoor facilities to prepare before the race. The course features a mix of urban streets and scenic trails, including stretches along the North Platte River Parkway. Runners navigate through downtown Casper, cross pedestrian bridges, and follow the river's edge, offering a blend of cityscape and natural beauty. The terrain includes rolling hills and flat sections, with an elevation starting around 5,270 feet above sea level and a finish near 5,100 feet, making altitude acclimation an important consideration.

The Course Type is a Loop out & back with the Surface being 90% Asphalt with 10% Concrete, Elevation at the Starting line at 5310ft with Finish at 5187ft, with the Aid Stations are approximately every two miles.

The Finish line hosts an Award ceremony for best overall runners and Age groups as well.

Awards:

Awards are provided for Overall Male and Female Awards for Marathon, Half Marathon, and Wheelchair Participants.

An award is provided for the Top Marathon Relay Team and Top Male and Female Finisher for the 10K distance.
