C. C. Coddington was the owner of Duke Mansion from 1926-1928. He was a business leader and entrepreneur celebrated for his impact on Charlotte's economy as an early Buick distributor, a founder of WBT radio and even a supporter of the first Charlotte Motor Speedway in Pineville.
