102nd Annual Memorial Day services at Cherry Grove Cemetery in Nordmont.

We honor our veterans both past and present and the sacrifices they made for our country. Services at Cherry Grove will begin at 2PM. Association President Brian Hoffman will serve as the Master of Ceremonies at the service with Lewis Peterman and Tammy Finan offering the scripture, prayer and benediction.

This year's speaker will be Mr. Robert Welter, a native of Williamsport. Bob is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard who served at COTP USCG Base, Gloucester City, NJ. His duties were in the EM Shop and Base Security from which he was Honorably Discharged. Bob has worked in the Distribution business for the past 35+ years in Sales and Management. He was Past Master & Treasurer for over 8 years of Ivy Lodge 397 in Williamsport and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution - Tiadaghton Chapter. He is also a descendant of veterans of the American Revolutionary War, Civil War, and the Korean War, with relatives that served in War of 1812, World War I, World War II and Vietnam Wars. Bob has 5 generations of family buried at Cherry Grove Cemetery.

We ask you to please bring chairs for seating outside. In case of inclement weather, the services will be held inside Cherry Grove Chapel. Music will be provided by the Sullivan County High School Band. Nelson Armes Post 601, Sonestown American Legion will conduct a graveside service honoring one of our Veterans.
