Presented by Opera Saratoga, program includes an children's interactive opera.  Hyde hosts an art project inspired by Frida Kahlo pre or post the Opera: 11 - 12 PM  / Art Project: 10 am and 12 pm

Frida Kahlo and the Bravest Girl in the World consists of an interactive children’s opera facilitated by Opera Saratoga.  An optional pre or post art project inspired by the works of Frida Kahlo is also happening.  Opera performance is being performed at 11 AM.

Optional Art project, inspired by Frida Kahlo, is taking place at 10 am and 12 pm. Participate in either or both.

The opera is a story about a young girl living in Mexico during the 1940’s.  Mariana’s family encourages her to have her portrait painted by artist Frida Kahlo.  Mariana is frightened, but then becomes emboldened by her household animals – a monkey, parrot and dog. As Mariana sits for her portrait, she learns all about Frida’s life and comes to understand the meaning of bravery.
