Christmas Village Carousel:

Our Christmas Village double decker Carousel is located in the middle of City Hall Courtyard. This old school carousel is great fun for the whole family with its horses, carriages and reindeers to ride on. In an effort to keep everybody safe, we ask that kids under 42" are accompanied by a responsible, paying adult. 

Dates: November 27th - December 24th, 2025, as well as on our Preview Weekend November 22nd and November 23rd, 2025 (Closed on November 24th ­- November 26th)

Hours: Fri - Sat 12:00pm - 9:00pm; Sun - Thur 12:00pm - 8:00pm

Ferris Wheel:

Since 2019, Christmas Village features a 65' high Ferris Wheel. The Ferris Wheel is located at the North Broad Section of the market and shines bright towards North Broad Street. The majestic Municipal Christmas tree of the City of Philadelphia as well as a bunch of Christmas Village vendors make it a fun place to be. Please note that kids under 54" have to be accompanied by a responsible, paying adult. Also, visibly intoxicated people are not allowed to ride our Ferris Wheel. Safety first!

Kids Train presented by SEPTA:

Choo Choo, all aboard the Christmas Village Express! This classic Kids Train, presented by SEPTA, brings joy to our youngest visitors and their families. Being located right next to the Ferris Wheel at the markets North Broad Section, our little train riders can enjoy the vista of the Christmas Tree, the Ferris Wheel, and our market. To make sure that your kid is as safe as possible, we ask that kids under 36" are accompanied by a responsible, paying adult. 

Weekdays bring an extra touch of magic for young passengers. Simply present your SEPTA card when purchasing a Kids Train ticket to get $1 OFF and a special SEPTA surprise for your little ones.

Meet our mascot "Phil the Reindeer"!

Yay! Our beloved mascot Phil the Reindeer will be visiting us at Christmas Village in Philadelphia again! Phil will stroll across the market on November 23rd, 2024 for the first time, and he is already excited to take pictures with all the visitors! 

Keep your eyes open and give Phil a High Five!

Gingerbread Christmas Village by Bredenbeck's:

Step into a sweet holiday wonderland with the Gingerbread Christmas Village, coming to the Festival of Trees starting December 5th! This adorable miniature version of the Christmas Village crafted from real gingerbread by the talented Philadelphian bakers at Bredenbeck’s Bakery is the perfect spot for festive photos and a delightful treat for the eyes – so make sure to stop by!

Come hungry and enjoy Bratwurst, Raclette Cheese and other delicacies!

Looking for something to tantalize your taste buds while touring the market? Look no further! Christmas Village offers a wide array of authentic German and European-style eateries.

Join us at “The Alm”, our traditional German Beer Garden. Centrally located in LOVE Park. You can take it all in gazing upon the majestic City Hall while chowing on a juicy Bratwurst washed down with the best local beer. To top it all off, treat yourself to our popular strudel, a true crowd favorite.

Be sure to include a leisurely stroll over to City Hall as well. In the Courtyard, you will find many of your mouth-watering favorites like Raclette Cheese Sandwiches, Belgian Fries, and German Bratwurst. Warm up with a spiked hot beverage or relax with a cold pint of beer. Savor these delights in our spacious seating for 100, surrounded by the joyful sounds and shimmering lights of our enchanting double-decker carousel.
