Unravel George Washington's unique way he spent one Christmas in this riveting talk! On Christmas night, December 25, 1776, Washington implemented a bold plan that would improve the morale and future of the hungry, threadbare, and desperate American forces.
The general boldly led his men across the frozen Delaware River and on a ten-mile march to Trenton, New Jersey, where they surprised a garrison of 1,500 Hessian soldiers. The Americans won the fight and triumphed again in Princeton a week later. General Washington demonstrated his resourcefulness and the strength of his command. He became a hero to his soldiers and revitalized the Continental Army.
