The Horry County Museum presents a program by historic reenactor Elizabeth Robertson Huntsinger on Eliza Lucas Pinckney. Eliza Lucas Pinckney lives on in the history the experimentation and fruition of her many self-described "schemes." This program follows Eliza through her life-long innovation both botanical and personal – and always for South Carolina. Eliza was very musical, so her life must be shared with a bit of live music too!
Elizabeth Robertson Huntsinger is the author of Ghosts of Georgetown, Georgetown Mysteries & Legends and two mysteries – Waterline and soon-to-be-published South Island Road. She loves portraying Eliza Lucas Pinckney and following in Eliza's many "schemes." Her most recent is the latest in a series of 'Tea With Eliza Lucas Pinckney' at Hampton Plantation. Huntsinger lives in Georgetown with her husband Lee. Her walking tour, Ghosts of Georgetown Lantern Tours, is in Georgetown's waterfront Historic District. She also conducts a ghost tour and historic house tours at Hopswee Plantation.
The program is free to the public and will be held in the Museum's McCown Auditorium. For more information, call 843-915-5320 or email [email protected]. To view a full list of scheduled programs, visit the museum website at www.horrycountymuseum.org.
