Celebrate the creative excellence of Delaware artists in Award Winners XXV, showcasing works by the 2025 Individual Artist Fellowship recipients. This dynamic group exhibition highlights the state's vibrant arts community through a wide range of disciplines and perspectives.

Opening May 15, Award Winners XXV marks the 25th anniversary of this much-anticipated annual exhibition at the Biggs Museum of American Art. The show honors the 2025 recipients of the Delaware Division of the Arts Individual Artist Fellowships, a prestigious program recognizing artists across the state for their outstanding creative achievements. Representing a variety of disciplines—including visual arts, media, literature, music, folk arts, and choreography—this year’s exhibition captures the vitality and depth of Delaware’s artistic landscape.

The 2025 fellowships were awarded through a competitive selection process that drew 191 applicants. Twenty-one artists were chosen for fellowships: one Master, eleven Established, and nine Emerging, with an additional thirteen recognized as Honorable Mentions. Their work reflects a rich diversity of backgrounds, practices, and viewpoints, with artists hailing from communities across Delaware, such as Wilmington, Bear, Lewes, and Rehoboth Beach.

Visitors to Award Winners XXV can expect a wide-ranging experience of creative expression—from evocative visual art installations and compelling narratives in poetry and prose to innovative choreography and powerful musical compositions. This exhibition not only showcases the exceptional talent within the First State but also underscores the importance of public investment in the arts as a driver of culture, community, and connection.
