Missouri artist Priya Kambli was born in India and currently works as Professor of Art at Truman State University. This exhibition traces her exploration of her family, past and present, throughout her artistic practice. Works from various series use portraits and possessions of family members to consider how time, place, relationships, and selfhood can be transformed by immigration. Family Pictures offers a poignant visualization of memory, identity, and kinship.
