Celebrate the season at Fall Family Day on November 8, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Wingfield Heritage House Museum!

Bring the family for a fun-filled morning of outdoor adventure and hands-on learning with a Wildland Fire Obstacle Course featuring The Low Crawl, The Fire Triangle, Wildland Firefighter Equipment, Tools of the Trade, Backpack Carry, Ground Support, and Hose Haul.

Meet Smokey Bear, escorted by Ruidoso’s own Fire Department and truck, and explore indoor activities like Word Search, Fire Response, Renew Fire Science, and Protect Your Home. Kids who complete all the challenges will become official Junior Rangers (Wildland Fire Management) through the National Park Service and receive a badge and certificate!

Plus, enjoy a tea-making station, view an antique fire truck model, and capture photo-perfect fall moments. It’s a wonderful way for families to learn, connect, and celebrate the season together.
