The film Die Hard takes place at Christmas. NYPD cop John McClane visits his wife Holly in Los Angeles where she works for the Nakatomi Corporation. During the office Christmas party, a group of robbers take control of the building holding everyone hostage, with the exception of John. While they plan to perform a lucrative heist, John, unable to escape and with no immediate police response, is forced to take matters into his own hands. Starring Bruce Willis, Alan Rickman and Bonnie Bedelia
