Ring in the New Year at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park with the 2025 First Day Hike. This annual tradition is a great way to start off the new year.
 
Come Early The park Visitor Center will open an hour before the guided hike begins to sell 2025 annual passes. Hot chocolate and coffee will be served inside the Visitor Center next to a roaring, warm fire. Hikers are to dress appropriately for the weather. Trails may be muddy and/or snow covered; tall hiking boots are recommended.
 
Participants are encouraged to arrive early before the official hike kick-off commences at 1 pm. The trail length will go over beautiful rolling hills and some forested areas. In the event of adverse weather, the trail route will be shortened.
 
The event is free of charge and open to the public. An annual or daily vehicle permit is required for park entrance and can be purchased online or at the park.
